I have always been intrigued by mysticism and science fiction because they tap into the unbounded imagination deep within...as a native Tlingit teen whose "obscure" language has the power to heal the Earth... or in a dystopian female gladiator theater, where mere words alter reality; or where a terminally ill man finds the strength to swim many miles to save the love of his life.
